RC Spreadsheets Version 3
The RC Spreadsheets are intended to follow normal design practice and cater for the design of low- to medium-rise multi-storey concrete-framed buildings.
Version 3 of the RC Spreadsheets software incorporates new and revised codes and standards for the design of reinforced concrete elements.
Version 3 facilitates the rapid production of design calculations complying with the most recent revisions of BS 8110:1997 and Eurocode 2 (BS EN 1992-1-1:2004)
The package contains 29 spreadsheets for design to BS 8110 and 23 to Eurocode 2.
‘Concept’
‘Concept’ is an invaluable tool for the conceptual design of reinforced concrete frames and enables the comparison and determination of an optimum structural solution. It assists with concrete frame choice, member sizes and reinforcement estimates.
‘Concept’ provides an extremely fast way of choosing between different concrete frame options for a scheme design. It can be used for time and cost comparisons and gives initial member sizing, quantities of formwork, reinforcement and concrete – all useful information when making a choice of frame.
Spans of up to 12 m (16 m for wide beams) are catered for. Information such as the number of bays, spans and loads, is simply entered. Cost and time data, and many of the base assumptions may be changed. The program sizes up and compares conceptual designs to BS 8110 for 13 forms of reinforced concrete frame construction, then ranks them in order of total or construction cost.
